Scunthorpe boss Paul Hurst has mounting injury concerns as his side prepare to face Northampton on Saturday.
Hurst expects to have six players on the sidelines as the Iron look to claim what would be only their second Sky Bet League Two win of the season.
Hurst has not revealed the identities of the expected absentees, but James Perch (hip) and Ryan Colclough (foot) were substituted in last week’s 2-2 draw with Plymouth.
Jordan Hallam, John McAtee and Jamie Ward are expected to be missing again, but Andy Butler has recovered from illness and is set to play some part in the fixture.
Northampton captain Charlie Goode could return to the side in time to face his former club.
Goode has missed the Cobblers’ last two games against Leyton Orient and Cambridge through illness but has now reported fit.
However, the virus that has swept through the camp over the past week has left a number of other players doubtful for the clash.
Cobblers boss Keith Curle is set to resist naming his side until the last possible moment as a result.
