Lawrence Shankland continued his form in front of goal as he scored the only goal of the game, giving his side the lead in the 62nd minute.
Shankland connected with a cross from Louis Appere, nodding the ball towards the goal where it clipped the post before hitting the back of the net.
The performance leaves the Terrors three points clear of second-placed Ayr in the standings, with Partick Thistle consequently sitting last of all after achieving only two victories from 11 league games played so far this season.
