Moray lifeboat called out to assist yacht

A north-east lifeboat is assisting a yacht which ran into trouble in the Moray Firth. The Buckie lifeboat is currently towing the vessel back to safety, having been called out at 7pm. It is believed to have suffered propeller problems. Nobody is said to be injured.  


Concern for “missing” man in Moray village

A search has been launched for a man who has reportedly went missing in a Moray village. Police and coastguard teams are working together to trace the man, believed to be vulnerable, in Portknockie. Buckie Lifeboat has also been launched as a precautionary measure. There are no further details at this stage.
