The SNP’s Richard Thomson has been elected as the new MP for Gordon. He won with 23,885 votes, a 42.7 share of the votes casted overall. The SNP have retaken Aberdeen South - two years after the Conservative wave painted the north-east blue.

The SNP have gained their first victory in the Highlands of the night.
Andrew Bowie will return as West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine’s MP. The Conservative candidate received 22,752 votes while the SNP’s Fergus Mutch received 21,909. John Waddell (liberal democrat) received 6,253 votes and Labour’s Paddy Coffield received 2,431 votes.
General Election 2019: ‘I thought I was a goner’ says Douglas Ross after exit poll predicted SNP win for Moray seat
The Conservatives defied expectations and exit polls to hold Moray – only their second win in the seat since 1983.
The SNP has taken Aberdeen South from the Conservatives. Stephen Flynn received 20,380 votes while his Aberdeen City Council colleagues Douglas Lumsden (conservative) and Ian Yuill (Liberal Democrat), received 16,398 and 5,018 votes respectively. Meanwhile Labour’s Shona Simpson received 3,834 votes.

Kirsty Blackman has been returned as the Aberdeen North MP. The SNP candidate won with 20,205 votes. The full results are: Ryan Houghton (Conservative) 7,535 Nurul Ali (Labour), 4,939 Isobel Davidson, (Liberal Democrat), 2,846 Seb Leslie (Brexit), 1,008 Guy Ingerson, Green, 880
The Western Isles seat has been held by the SNP. Angus MacNeil won with 6,531 votes, 45.1% of the share of votes. Labour’s Alison MacCorquodale received 4,093 votes while Jennifer Ross, Conservative candidate, took 3,216 views. The Liberal Democrat candidate, Neil Mitchison, received 637 votes.
