North-east children are being encouraged to stay active by walking a mile in front of thousands of people at an iconic gathering in Aberdeenshire.
For the past 12 years he has led the iconic marching Lonach Highlanders through Strathdon into the central games arena, marking the start of the Lonach Highland Games.
For almost 200 years, the men of Lonach have marched through the ancient glens of Strathdon proudly wielding their traditional pikes and sporting their historic tartans.
This year, the Lonach Highland Gathering and Games is being held for the 175th time and to mark the milestone it will feature one of the largest marches of Highlanders in its history.
