Planned strike action and a rejected pay offer plunged the North Sea workforce into turmoil last night with further strikes on three offshore platforms due to bite on Monday.
Workers union GMB said last night that its consultation ballot on the Mariner platform returned a 91% vote in favour of industrial action.
Norwegian oil giant said today that all workers on the Mariner field are safe after a gangway between installations disconnected late last night.
