Fire crew battle blaze at Black Isle farm

Fire fighters were called to a farm on the Black Isle tonight after machinery went up in flames. One crew from Fortrose attended the property at Poyntzfield around 8.15pm. One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames. No one was hurt during the incident.

Fire crews rush to Aberdeen blaze

Fire fighters are currently attending a blaze at a commercial building in Aberdeen. Four crews were sent to the incident on Great Northern Road around 12.30pm. They are using breathing apparatus and a height vehicle to tackle the flames. Thermal imaging cameras are also being used. More to follow .

A90 closed following two vehicle crash in Aberdeenshire

A section of the A90 has been shut following a two vehicle accident in Aberdeenshire. The southbound lane between Fordoun and Laurencekirk is closed while emergency services including officers, paramedics and fire crews attend the scene. Police received the call around 2.15pm. A spokeswoman could not confirm how serious the accident is yet. More to follow.

Firefighters battle grass fire on Isle of Barra

Fire fighters are currently tackling a grass fire on the Isle of Barra. An area of measuring 500 sq ft has gone up in flames near the water treatment plant at Northbay. The fire service arrived at the scene at 7.45pm.

Fire fighters tackle blaze at Aberdeen high-rise

Fire fighters were called to a blaze in the stairwell of an Aberdeen block of flats this evening. The fire started in a fire escape at Hutcheon Court around 7.40pm. A spokesman for the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service described the blaze as “small”.

Fire fighters tackle house fire in Aberdeenshire

Fire fighters were called to a house fire at Kintore this evening. Two appliances were sent to the property at School Road just before 10.30pm. One hose reel jet and four breathing apparatuses were used to tackle the flames. A spokeswoman for the fire service described the blaze as a “small”.
