A former provost and a north MSP have joined forces to keep buildings safe after a series of incidents in Inverness.
Two Spanish tourists were struck by falling debris in Inverness city centre as Storm Hector swept across the north with a bang yesterday.
The Scottish Open felt the full impact of Storm Hector as winds ripped through the VIP tent at Gullane Golf Club. The footage shows the marquee being lifted into the air and flipped over. Coming into land the structure crashes into the green and dismantles into pieces.
Storm Hector has been battering the nation today with gusts up to 70 mph but this Glasgow garden was somehow unscathed when a tree was ripped out of the ground and chucked across the grass.
