Seeing red with Toyota

January 4, 2017

Toyota has revealed a new paint colour option for its Yaris and Avensis models. The pearlescent Tokyo Red is now available as a £750 option on Yaris models and a £795 option on the Avensis, placing it among the most expensive paint jobs offered by the brand. For Yaris customers, the shade can be specified as a full-body colour or as part of a bi-tone paint scheme. No matter which option is chosen, Tokyo Red is teamed with contrasting metallic black paint on the roof, front pillars, upper front wing sections and leading bonnet edge. The door mirror casings are also in black. The Yaris is Toyota’s top-selling model in the UK, and the new colour is available on variants fitted with petrol, diesel or hybrid engines and one of three equipment grades – Icon, Design and Excel.
