Fire teams were called to an incident at Aberdeen International Airport this afternoon.
The appliances from Aberdeen Central and Dyce were called out at 12.30pm after reports of a “ground incident” at the airport.
The aircraft – named as a Saab 2000 – had 33 passengers on board and suffered a faulty smoke detector.
The fire crews were stood down at 12.45pm.
A spokesman for Eastern Airways said: “Shortly after landing in Aberdeen and while taxying to stand, the aircraft captain received a cockpit warning indication relating to the baggage hold smoke detector system.
“The Saab 2000 had 33 passengers and three crew on board and carried on its taxi to the terminal, where passengers disembarked as normal via the aircraft steps.
“There were no reports or signs of any smoke in the baggage hold, and engineers have now inspected the aircraft and confirmed it was a faulty cockpit warning indication. The airport fire service did attend as a precautionary measure, but were later stood down.”
