SCDI’s annual Highlands and Islands Business Excellence Awards 2016, which take place in Inverness in September.

The event, which has become a highlight in the region’s business calendar, recognises excellence in a variety of categories and awards are presented to organisations based in the Highlands & Islands which have demonstrated outstanding success.

Guests at this year’s event will be entertained by comedian Tim Vine, who will host the awards, and keynote speaker David Mundell, the Secretary of State for Scotland.

Fraser Grieve, the SCDI Highlands & Islands regional director, said: “We’ve already had some great entries to this year’s SCDI Highlands and Islands Business Excellence Awards and with the closing date on 1st August, there is still time for other businesses to get their entries in!

“There are so many exceptional businesses in the region and we don’t want them to miss out on this event, which is the ideal opportunity to celebrate success whilst showcasing what outstanding business is being done across the Highlands & Islands.”

The awards are open to all businesses, both members and non-members of the SCDI, and are free to enter. The closing date for entries is Monday 1 August.
