Located on the north coast of Caithness, Thurso is mainland Scotland’s most northerly town. The old part of the town is a great place to explore with its ruins of Old St Peter’s Church and ancient streets that are lined with impressive buildings and individual retailers.

The excursions will take you through some of the areas spectacular scenery to the town of Wick, famous in the 19th century for the “silver darlings” – better known as herring.

Today the harbour remains busy, while the town retains much of its Viking history. The tour will travel to John o’ Groats, with its craft shops and stunning views across to the Islands and Canisby Kirk.

The tour will also visit the Castle of Mey, once the property of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

Chilling in the Trossachs
