Digger fire on Skye

Firefighters in Skye were called out to a digger fire in the south of the island this morning.

One crew from Broadford went to the scene at 10.18am and used two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames coming from the Volvo digger in the Sasaig area.

No one was involved in the incident and a fire service spokeswoman said it was “not being treated as suspicious.”
