Cheeky Aberdeen FC fans have ensured royal backing ahead of this weekend’s Scottish Cup final by kitting out Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in red gear.
The Queen Victoria statue in Queen’s Cross had been adorned with a flag, hat and a Stand Free sash ahead of this Saturday’s crunch clash against treble-chasing favourites Celtic.
And the seated Prince Albert on Union Terrace is sporting a scarf, hat and flag as cup fever grips the city.
Dons supporters have also put a large Stand Free banner above the Archie Simpson pub in Castle Street.
