Gardenstown residents are set for more disruptions next week as repair work continues.
The effort to tackle the village’s landslip next week will include the removal of 130 concrete blocks which formed a retaining wall to hold back debris from Harbour Road, as well temporary fencing panels.
As a result, the road will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between the hours of 9.25am-12pm, and 2.05pm-5.30pm.
“Delays will be kept to a minimum whenever possible, but there will be no vehicular or pedestrian access for the periods specified,” a council spokesman said.
“The afternoon school bus at 3:55pm will turn at the turning area where Main Street meets Harbour Street.
“It is imperative that this area is kept clear of parked vehicles.
“Access for emergency services will be facilitated if required.”
Anyone who has organised for the deliveries of fuel or building materials over these days is asked to contact Jonathan Duncan on 01467 535314.
