The Met Office issued a yellow warning last night, which began at 6pm and will run until 11am this morning, with snow and ice expected. The coldest area yesterday was Ballater, where the temperature dropped as low as -7.6C. The A939 Corgarff to Lecht was closed in the morning due to drifting snow. This dog seemed to enjoy his walk in the Huntly snow yesterday afternoon There was a weather-related accident on the B9001 Forgue to Rothienorman road. A green Volvo van collided with a Ford transit lorry at around 4pm and the road was closed while the vehicles were recovered. The Met Office has forecast up to 0.78 inches of snow in Aberdeen and 1.96 inches in more rural areas. The coldest spot is expected to be Braemar again, with the mercury dropping as low as -7C. The temperature in Aberdeen is expected to be about 4C.
