The funeral of Duncan MacDougall, skipper of the tragic Nancy Glen fishing boat, will take place tomorrow.
Mr MacDougall, 43, and crewman Przemk Krawczyk, 38, were still aboard the prawn trawler when it sank on January 18.
The boat was raised following a complex operation last week from where it lay more than 460ft below Loch Fyne near Tarbert, Argyll.
The funeral will take place at noon in the Free Church of Scotland, Tarbert. Mathew Ramsay of the Fishermen’s Mission will officiate.
Rev Robert Macleod, former minister at the church, said: “I convey my deep sympathy to all the families and community in what will prove to be another difficult week in your lives. The events leading to the funerals of Duncan and Przemek have impacted so many.
“My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God’s comfort be known and the spirit and support of a resilient community also contribute towards a healing and relief in grief.”
A date for the funeral of Mr Krawczyk is still to be set.
