Fast boat trips around the bay will be one of the many attractions at Oban Lifeboat’s fun-filled open day.
The trips are being run by local boat operator Seafari to raise cash for theRNLI.
This year’s event, next Saturday, will offer the public a chance to meet the volunteer crew and step onboard Oban’s Trent class lifeboat, Mora Edith MacDonald.
Sea Safety Officer Ian Wilson will be on hand to check lifejackets and to offer advice to sailors.
Oban Coastguard team members will be there to show their rescue equipment and local man George Berry will be bringing a vintage fire engine and a range of RNLI memorabilia.
Seafari trips will run from1 2.30pm-1.50pm and anyone wanting to book a seat is advised to get there early as the attraction was a sell-out last year.
