Cast members from ITV’s reality TV show The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) have thrilled Highland fans on social media with pictures showing them on the way north.
The cast of TOWIE headed into Scotland via an Easyjet flight to film a Christmas special in Inverness yesterday morning.
Around 11am on Monday James “Arg” Argent, Georgia Kousoulou, and Katie Wright were pictured aboard the plane from Luton to Inverness for their latest secret venture.
Arg told fans on Instagram: “We’re on the plane!!!…@missgeorgiakx @xkatiewright Heading to Scotland for the @towie Xmas special!!!#SoExcited.”
The Towie cast members were later spotted in a branch of Tesco in Inverness at lunchtime.
Just last month former cast member Joey Essex was meant to attend a fashion show in Inverness as part of Highland Fashion Week, but he disappointed his tens of fans, cancelling at the last minute for unknown reasons.
This time round it’s unsure where they are headed.
Speculation was rife that the reality TV gang might be headed to Aberdeenshire hamlet Towie, a remote community with just three hundred residents and no shop which is bracing itself for the world’s next gold rush – after prospectors found evidence that it sits on major deposits.
