The A96 between Keith and Fochabers has re-opened after a woman died in a two-car crash yesterday. Police and ambulance crews rushed to the scene on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road at North Bogbain, shortly after 4pm yesterday. Police have now confirmed a woman has died as a result of the two-car crash. A second woman was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin for treatment. Her condition is unknown. A police statement said: “The incident involving two cars was reported at around 4.15pm. “Sadly, a female driver has sadly died as a result of the collision. Another female driver has been taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital.” Traffic heading towards Elgin was rerouted onto the B9016 and motorists heading south were told to use the A98.
