This ‘unique’ three double bedroom terraced house with four bathrooms, two reception rooms and a kitchen/diner has gone on the market in England.
Situated in the centre of leafy Headington, an affluent suburb in Oxford, its located beside a range of coffee shops, supermarkets, a choice of state and private schooling, pubs and restaurants.
With a regular bus service to both Oxford city centre and London, it’s seem like the perfect place to set up home.
But very few people have shown an interest in the property – because there is a 25ft shark stuck in the roof.
The infamous ‘Shark House’ has become Headington’s most famous landmark, after the owner installed a massive shark sculpture crashing through the roof in 1986 as a protest towards the Nuclear age.
A spokesman for selling site, Zoopla, explained: “The Shark was controversially erected on the 41st anniversary of the bombing of Nagasaki without planning permission.
“Oxford City Council attempted to remove the Shark, but after six years of public support and heated debate, a Minister in the department for the Environment ruled that it could remain in situ.
“The Shark has been exciting adults and children from all over the world ever since.
“We are extremely proud to have helped form part of the Sharks history by previously finding tenants for this wonderful property, and we are delighted to have the opportunity once more.”
