Today’s transfer round up features Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona as well as some of the top players in the world.
Oh and Bebe. There’s also a rumour linking good old Bebe with a move back to English football.
Jack Wilshere
Manchester City are set bid £30million for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, according to reports in the Mirror.
Arsenal had previously said they had no interest in selling the midfielder but the Etihad club are expected to ignore the warning and lodge a bid in the coming weeks.
Pedro
Arsenal are expected to make a move for Barcelona winger Pedro, according to the Daily Express.
Pedro, 27, has found his first team opportunities limited at the Camp Nou this season due to the form of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi and the Express report that Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter Milan are keen on the 27-year-old but Arsenal, who enquired about Pedro last year, lead the chase.
Gareth Bale/Eden Hazard
The Sun are reporting that two of the best players in the world could be involved in a swap deal this summer.
The paper is reporting that Real Madrid are considering offering Welsh winger Gareth Bale, 25, for Chelsea’s Belgian star Eden Hazard, 24.
Hazard was this week named Premier League player of the year, while Bale has come in for criticism from the Madrid support in recent weeks.
Stevan Jovetic
Liverpool are eyeing a move for Manchester City’s out-of-favour striker Stevan Jovetic, reports the Daily Express.
Following the signing of Wilfried Bony, Jovetic has struggled to break into the City matchday squad and with neaither Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini nor Rickie Lambert impressing for the Reds, Brendan Rodgers is keen to add more fire power this summer.
Patrick Bamford
The Daily Mail believe Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is interested in signing Chelsea youngster Patrick Bamford.
The 21-year-old striker was named Championship Player of the Year last week following an impressive season on loan at Middlesbrough.
Crystal Palace, Everton and Southampton are all believed to have shown an interest in the player but Villa are now considering a bid.
Bebe
Remember Bebe? The £7.5million Manchester United flop? Regarded as quite possibly Sir Alex Ferguson’s worst ever signing? He is now struggling to get a game for Benfica.
The Portuguese side have sent him on loan to Spanish strugglers Cordoba but reports today suggest he could be heading back to English football with Championship side Reading watching him and considering a move.
Nabil Bentaleb
Nabil Bentaleb has impressed fans in England this season with his performances for Spurs, however, it would appear those watching him from Italy have been ever more impressed.
The London Evening Standard report that Serie A sides Juventus, Napoli, Roma and Lazio are all interested in signing the Algerian international midfielder.
