Coaltion tells oil chiefs to pay for regulator

UK Government ministers have told oil and gas industry chiefs that they expect them to foot the entire bill for a new “super agency” to regulate the North Sea. STATS Group expands in Inverurie

Pipeline engineering company STATS Group plans to increase revenue of its testing tools and equipment rental division by a fifth following an investment of more than £500,000 in new premises.

Shetland coastguard transport injured oil worker

May 13, 2014

An oil worker who suffered a broken leg had to be airlifted from an oil platform yesterdafternoon. Shetland coastguard’s Rescue-102 helicopter was sent out to take the man from the platform in the Tern oilfield, roughly 100 miles north-east of Lerwick. The injured man was taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital in the town.
