American rock band Pearl Jam have been revealed as the second headliners of British Summer Time 2020.

The Seattle-formed group, fronted by singer Eddie Vedder, will play the concert series in London’s Hyde Park on Friday July 10.

The gig, celebrating 30 years of Pearl Jam, will be their only UK date on their European tour.

Pixies (British Summer Time/PA)

The five-piece will be supported by grunge rockers Pixies and garage punk band White Reaper, with more acts to be added.

They are the second headliners to be announced, after Little Mix revealed they will top their own day on Saturday July 4.

Pearl Jam formed in 1990 in Seattle in the US state of Washington, the same home city as their grunge contemporaries Soundgarden.

The group consists of Vedder, guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, bassist Jeff Ament and drummer Matt Cameron.
