North-east farmers’ co-operative ANM Group is sending trading bonus cheques out to its members this week.
Earlier this year, the Inverurie-based group announced plans to issue its first discretionary members’ trading bonus in 30 years, worth £68,000 or £3 for every £100 of commission paid to the group.
This was a result of a boost in profits and turnover in the year to December 31, 2014, despite a drop in throughput.
Group chairman Pat Machray said: “Despite the challenges we faced in 2014, we were still able to sustain a profit and are delighted to be giving something additional back to our members as an acknowledgement of our appreciation for their ongoing support and trading.
“The allocation of this bonus is strongly dependent on the continued financial progress and growth of the group as a whole and may not happen every year. We are reliant on our members continued loyalty and investment.”
