John Gold, the owner of Frankie’s Fish and Chips said he felt “a bit numb” but was “really happy.” He said his success owed to the freshness of his fish, with it coming in straight from the Shetland boats and filleted in time for the shop opening. Frankie’s won the Takeaway Fish and Chip Shop of 2015 award.
