Madness announce supporting acts for Inverness show

Pop legends Madness have announced the acts that will join them onstage when they play Inverness this summer.

The pop group are preparing to take to the stage at Northern Meeting Park in Inverness on August 23 to headline their one-off outdoor concert in the Highlands.

Joining the star-studded line-up is Liverpool born band The Farm and Manchester group Jeramiah Ferrari, helping to warm up the cities crowd before Madness take to the stage.

The Farm have been confirmed as one of their supporting acts.

The Farm, reached number one in the charts in 1991 with their first album Spartacus, produced by legendary singer-songwriter Suggs.

The band will perform hits including Groovy Train and All Together Now as they liven up the crowd in preparation for the headlining act.

Peter Hooton, lead singer of The Farm, said: “We love performing outdoors at festival type events, and promise powerful live shows in Inverness and Montrose, featuring all our hits. Come and join us.”

Fellow musicians Jeramiah Ferrari described as a “unique force and a live sensation that never disappoints” will fuse styles of reggae, rock and pop together to put on a crowd-pleasing performance.

The shows are being organised by concert promoter LLC Live.

Rebecca Corbett of LCC Live, said: “The Farm are amazing live, and I expect that their addition to the line-up, along with the memorable sound of Jeramiah Ferrari, will be extremely popular with music fans, coming to see Madness in Inverness.”
