What: The VIP reception for the world premiere performance of Robert Burns the Musical

Where: The Thistle Caledonian Hotel, Aberdeen

Who: Scottish Government Culture Secretary Fiona Hyslop MP, Lord Provost of Aberdeen George Adam, and Robert Burns World Federation chief executive Alison Tait were guests of honour at the pre-show VIP reception.

Why: The VIP reception was held prior to the world premiere performance of Robert Burns the Musical – an original piece of musical theatre dreamed up by Michael Jackson and David Gest, and then developed and written by Inverurie-raised artist, Tish Tindall. The premiere was performed in front of a packed Burns Night audience at the Tivoli Theatre.
