NHS Grampian announced the results of the tests earlier tonight after the patient was admitted to the ARI. Earlier today, a convoy had taken the woman from a hostel in Torridon in the Highlands, where she had fallen ill. Health officials say that as the woman was a health care worker, who had returned from west Africa, the tests were a necessary precaution. A blood sample was taken to the testing facility in Edinburgh and has been confirmed as negative for Ebola.
