Emergency services were called to the A981, north-west of Maud at 7am where a Mercedes Vito van and a blue Mazda pick-up crashed near Brucklay Castle. The road is closed at the north junction with A950 and south junction with B9029.” A spokesman for the police said firefighters have cut a man free from his vehicle. He added: “The driver of the Mazda appears to have suffered serious injuries and is being taken to hospital by air ambulance. “The driver of the Mercedes has suffered minor injuries.” More to follow.
