A north-east man who died following a disturbance at a flat last week has been described as a “loving” brother and uncle.
Aleksejus Zarskus died last Thursday following a disturbance at the property on King Street, Aberdeen, on Sunday, January 15.
Last night the family of the 42-year-old, originally from Lithuania, paid tribute to him.
In a family statement, they said: “Aleksejus was a much loved twin brother and uncle to his family in Aberdeen and a cherished son and family member to his relatives in Lithuania.
“He was hard working and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
“We now request that our privacy is respected at this difficult time.”
Two men aged 32 and 30 appeared in court in relation to the incident last Tuesday.
