The incident happened shortly after 11.40am on the A944 Westhill to Alford road near Loch of Skene. A mother and child had already managed to escape the vehicle before emergency services arrived at the collision, near Loch of Skene. 15 fire and rescue workers used hydraulic heavy rescue equipment to free the casualties. The man’s condition is understood to be serious but not life threatening. Police and ambulance crews, along with the four fire appliances, are currently in attendance at the scene. Police have closed the road at Dunecht and the Garlogie crossroads (the B9119 junction). Local diversions are in place but motorists have been advised to avoid the area where possible.
