An Aberdeenshire church will host a concert by the Kinloss Military Wives Choir this weekend.
St Andrew’s Church in Inverurie will welcome the choir to mark the 175th anniversary of the building of their current church.
The choir, conducted by musical director Brian Smith, have a repertoire that ranges from ballads by Robert Burns to Adele’s latest hits, as well as war songs and some recent compositions written specially for the Military Wives Choir Network.
The ladies in the choir have husbands who work at either Kinloss Barracks or RAF Lossiemouth.
Jenn French, the choir’s spokeswoman, said: “We very much have a sing, share and support ethos.
“The singing is wonderful, but above all we exist to provide a support network for military wives, mothers, sisters and ex-service women.”
Tickets to Saturday’s performance, which starts at 7:30pm, cost £10 and can be bought on the door on the night or from Morgan’s Music Shop in advance or the church office by calling 01467 620612.
The price also includes a finger buffet that will be served after the concert.
