A patch of wasteland next to a railway line could be poised for a new lease of life as it goes under the hammer at an asking price of £10,000 next week.
The 693sq ft area, which is on the north side of Powis Terrace and adjoins the footbridge which links with Erskine Street, hosts two decaying billboards and has become overgrown in recent years.
Its owner, outdoor advertising company JC Decaux, has put the site up for auction in London on Monday in the hope that it can be rejuvenated.
Sellers Lambert Smith Hampton, describe the patch as a “possible development site, subject to obtaining any necessary consents”.
JC Decaux declined to comment on why the grounds are being sold.
