Police called to sudden death of baby in Aberdeen

Police were called to the sudden death of a baby in Aberdeen yesterday.

Officers were called to an address in the Gaitside Terrace area of the city in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A spokeswoman for the police said the child’s death is being treated as “unexplained”.

She said: “Police Scotland can confirm that an infant has sadly died.

“The death of the child is being treated as unexplained, however, inquiries are ongoing.”

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
