Libraries, museums, art centres, sports facilities and even an aquarium have joined forces in Aberdeenshire to put together a new programme of virtual activities to enjoy from home during the coronavirus lockdown.
Live Life Aberdeenshire’s (LLA) “Live Life At Home” programme has officially launched today, designed to bring entertainment into homes across the north-east via the internet while facilities are shut across the north-east.
Among the weekly activites will be a tutorial on the anatomy of a squid as it is being prepared to be fed to fish at the Macduff Marine Aquarium, strength and balance exercises aimed at older adults, and digital resentations from authors including David Walliams.
LLA, which runs Aberdeenshire Council’s libraries, museums, sport centres and more designed the project to encourage people to stay at home while its facilities are closed off to visitors.
