During the trial, driving instructor Tracy Van Someran told the court she was “terrified” by the amount of information her stalker had gleaned about her life since they stopped talking last September.
She said she never responded to any of White’s e-mails, calls or text messages, and it was like he was having a “one-way conversation” with himself.
The following are extracts from some of the messages from White she told the court about:
“Please do not panic. Hey Trace do not panic or get worried. There is no need to, I only want to hear how you are doing. I can see you are up to good things.”
“Hey Trace. It was a real blow to the stomach to see you hide in your car. I’m here to live and work Tracy I’m not here for you. At the end of the day we loved each other and in a small part of my heart I always will. It’s clear you have a problem. You should talk to someone about Trace. I’m not chasing after you.”
“Come on Trace, I know you can reply. Why hide? Talk to me pretty please with cherries on top, whipped cream and sugar.”
“How can you dare act like this? It is very childish. After all you did all the damage. You are in the wrong.”
“I’m very sorry it seems that what we had meant absolutely nothing at all. Very disappointing. It seems you wish no communication.”
“I want an answer to my message and the mail I sent, or it will be very regrettable.”
“I would be the perfect husband and father and you would be the perfect wife. I would not terrorise you, I love you. We would be perfect together as a married couple. How could you throw it away Trace, my darling sweetheart?”
