BrewDog has invited its shareholders for a day “full of beers, business and food” at Hazlehead Park in Aberdeen this summer.

The Ellon-based firm has announced details of its upcoming Annual General Mayhem (AGM), which will take place on August 13.

Small businesses and individuals, who hold shares in the Ellon-based company, have received an invitation about “a party in the park”.

It will be the first time the meeting is held outside and in-person since the start of the pandemic.

An email sent out to stakeholders said: “Equity Punks across the world, join us for the Annual General Mayhem on August 13, at our new location – Hazlehead Park, Aberdeen.

“Yes, this AGM is going to be… drumroll please…OUTSIDE! (*sends prayers to gods of Scottish summer weather*)

“This is going to be a party in the park you don’t want to miss. A day full of beers, bands, business, food and most importantly, you, our Equity Punks.”

Who are BrewDog?

BrewDog, which has become one of the most recognisable brands in British brewing, was established by Fraserburgh duo James Watt and Martin Dickie in 2007.

The firm has been a focus of attention even more in recent months following allegations about a “toxic” work environment.

Last year, Mr Watt was one of the main targets of an open letter written by former company employees, accusing him of leaving staff “burnt out, afraid and miserable”.

He has since strongly denied all the allegations.
