Police hunt for man after Aberdeen nightclub assault

Police have launched a hunt for a man who assaulted another at an Aberdeen nightclub.

The incident occurred between 1.30am and 1.43am on Sunday, August 30 within and outside Babylon Nightclub, 9 Alford Place, Aberdeen and as a result, a 30 year old man sustained a significant injury.

Officers are keen to speak to the man shown in these images as they believe that he may be able to assist them with their enquiries

He is described as being in his late 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5’8″ tall, of stocky build and at the time of the incident, he was wearing a white shirt, dark jeans or black trousers with braces hanging from the rear and brown shoes.

Information received suggests that the male may be called ‘Aaron’, and may come from the Arbroath area.

Investigating Officer Constable Graham Crawford said: “This is a serious incident resulting in a male sustaining a severe facial injury. Assaults of this nature can have a significant impact on the life of the victim as well as a negative impact on the reputation of the Aberdeen city centre night time economy. I would appeal to anyone who recognises the male pictured or has any knowledge of this incident to come forward and contact the Police.”
