A bus operator has invested millions in a new fleet of vehicles in the north-east transport.
Stagecoach unveiled a fleet of 17 brand new Buchan Xpress coaches, which will operate between Aberdeen and coastal towns in Aberdeenshire.
The new coaches, which will operate on the existing 60, 63, 67 and 68 routes, boast leather reclining seats and even bike lockers.
They will replace the current Buchan Link coaches which operate between Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Ellon and Aberdeen carrying 25,000 passengers every week.
Steve Walker, the firm’s managing director, said the investment was about “delivering better coach services in our area”.
“We are committed to encourage more people to travel by bus and we hope that when the community see the new coaches they will be tempted to use the bus for their journey,” he added.
All 17 Buchan Xpress coaches will be on the road from Monday 16th November.
