A stripper who starred in a television series about lap-dancing clubs will have to carry out unpaid work after assaulting a woman in an Aberdeen fast-food restaurant.

Kirsty Brown, who appeared in the Channel 4 show Strippers, attacked Rebecca Harrison in McDonald’s on Union Street on September 11 last year.

She then assaulted Constable Adam Mellis by trying to lunge at him while on Rosemount Viaduct on the same day.

The 23-year-old appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday to be sentenced having previously admitted committing the offences, including breaking a 3am curfew.

Fiscal depute Jamie Dunbar said Brown, of 35 Jasmine Terrace, had been queuing in the restaurant at about 2am when an argument broke out with another customer, Rebecca Harrison.

He said the stripper then turned aggressive and bit Ms Harrison on her face, pulled her hair, and bit her neck.

At this point, police intervened and arrested Brown.

It was during the journey to Kittybrewster Police Station, the court heard, that Brown lunged at Constable Adam Mellis as he removed her phone when she tried to use it.

Representing Brown, solicitor Paul Barnett said his client had one previous conviction for assault in December, for which she was placed under supervision and given 120 hours of unpaid work.

He told the court that Brown had complied fully with the order and had also completed the work, in a local charity shop, to a high standard.

Mr Barnett said Brown had a hazy memory of the incident after drinking too much and that his client was “contrite” and remorseful about what had happened.

He also claimed Brown had to be taken to hospital after an altercation with an officer in a police cell, which was captured on CCTV, when she was “swung round” and her head hit a wall.

Sheriff Margaret Hodge sentenced Brown to 25 hours of unpaid work for attacking Ms Harrison, and admonished her for assaulting Constable Mellis and violating her bail conditions.
