The 60-year-old was last seen in the Swordale Road area of the village around 9pm on Sunday, August 14. Mr Ripley is described as 5ft 8in in height, of medium build with a bald head and a greying moustache. When last seen Mr Ripley was wearing a black ‘puffa’ jacket, dark jeans, dark boots and was carrying a rucksack. Mr Ripley is believed to be in the local area without his daily medication. Residents are urged to check outbuildings, sheds and gardens. Searches were launched last night in the local area with assistance from Coastguard Helicopter and the dog unit, who remain in the area. Anyone with information on Mr Ripley’s whereabouts is urged to contact Police on 101.
