Emergency services were called to the scene just south of Glencoe at around 1.28pm yesterday. The man was travelling north on an orange Kawasaki Z1000 motorcycle. The 56-year-old rider was taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William where he later died of his injuries. The road reopened at about 8.05pm after an investigation was carried out at the scene of the collision. Sergeant Donald Mackinnon said: “Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragic incident. “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact us if you have not already done so. “In particular we would like to speak to the driver of a small red car who may have witnessed the collision. “Please call Police on 101, quoting reference NP7450/17 with any information you may have.” The man’s next of kin are aware and a report will sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course
