Police in Ross-shire are appealing for information following a theft from a construction yard near Culbokie.
A quantity of construction equipment was stolen during the early hours of Saturday morning at the B9163 near Cromarty Bridge.
Officers are keen to speak to the driver of an unidentified car which was parked on the road at around this time.
Two further cars are known to have passed the area shortly afterwards – one travelling west towards the A9 and the other east towards the shore road to Cromarty.
Constable Andrew Fraser said: “We are urging the drivers of any of these vehicles to get in touch as you may have information which could prove helpful.
“You may have seen something which did not seem notable at the time but could be useful to our investigation.”
Anyone with information can call police on 101, quoting NE1284/18, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
