The out-of-hours service at Portree Hospital was suspended again overnight amid an ongoing staffing crisis.
NHS Highland announced yesterday that the service at the minor injuries unit urgent care centre at the Skye hospital would be temporarily closed from 8pm last night. It was planned to reopen again at 8am this morning.
The out-of-hours service in Portree was also temporarily suspended at the weekend. It follows a series of temporary out-of-hours suspensions during the festive period.
Cover was provided last night by the Rural Practitioner Team based at the Dr Mackinnon Memorial Hospital in Broadford.
