A 63-year-old man has died following a one-vehicle crash on the B9176 Struie road near Ardgay.
The man was the sole occupant of the Volvo V40 car involved in the incident, which happened around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon.
The road was closed to allow for a collision investigation to take place, and it remains closed for structural examinations of a bridge on the route today.
Road policing officer Constable Kate Park said: “Our thoughts go out to the family of the driver who has sadly died in this collision.
“I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision, and who has not yet spoken to police to contact us 101 and quote reference number NE/3995/18.”
