Police have spoken to 250 motorists on Skye one week after a north man was reported missing.
Gordon Buchan, from Kyle of Lochalsh, was last seen at 6.30pm on March 1 at the Co-op in Broadford.
A major search was launched after a light blue Citroen C4 was found abandoned outside the Taste of India Restaurant, located at the north end of Kyleakin, with the keys still in the ignition.
Emergency teams from across Skye and the north have carried out door-to-door inquiries alongside extensive searches of the surrounding area and coastline in the hope of tracing the missing 56-year-old.
On Sunday night officers spoke to motorists in the local area and handed out posters, asking “Think – did you see Gordon or his car?”.
Sgt Bruce Crawford, of Portree Somerled Square Police Station, said: “Officers in Skye stopped and spoke to over 250 motorists near Kyleakin as part of the ongoing efforts to trace missing person Gordon Buchan, who was last seen in the area on March 1.
“Anyone who may have seen Gordon or anyone with dash cam footage and was in the area between 3pm on Sunday, March 1, and 12pm on Monday, March 2, is urged to contact police on 101.”
