Highland Council has carried out stabilising work following a landslip at Ardsliginish on the Ardnamurchan peninsular in March.
The local authority’s area community services manager, Cameron Kemp, said: “Rock has been placed at the toe of the slope to prevent the flow of slurry onto the road while at the same time allowing drainage of excess surface water and groundwater.”
He added that no further work was planned, but they would continue to monitor the pattern of water flow on the slope and take action if necessary.
Mr Kemp was responding to an inquiry from Councillor Andrew Baxter, Fort William and Ardnamurchan, on behalf of residents in the Glenborrodale and Kilchoan areas and the local community council.
