The A87 has reopened after a two-car crash near Balmacara.
The traffic main route to Skye was closed temporarily around 1.45pm as police directed traffic in the aftermath of the crash.
One man was injured following the two-car collision on the popular NC500 route.
An ambulance was quickly dispatched to the scene and he was transported to Broadford Hospital.
The road was cleared by authorities after 3.25pm.
Police were on hand at the scene to direct traffic and to uplift debris from the road.
A police spokesperson said: “Around 1.45pm police were made aware of a road crash involving two vehicles on the A87 near Balmacara on Friday, May 17.
“Emergency services are in attendance and arrangements are being made to uplift the vehicles. We also have a report of one man being injured.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call at 13:55 to attend a two-car RTC on the A87 near Balmacara.
“One ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Broadford Hospital.”
