The blaze at Polnish, between Arisaig and Lochailort, was reported just after 3pm. As it spread, it split and firefighters were tackling fires in two separate areas. A fire service spokeswoman said three appliances attended the incident – two from Fort William and one from Acharacle. She added that no one was hurt and no property was threatened by the fire, which was under control just after 5.30pm.
